Softness makes room for variation.
The space between body and garment is never fixed. Bodies differ in height, width and proportion. The same body stands, sits, bends and stretches; clothing tightens, loosens, folds and unfolds, redistributing space through adaptation. Once worn, the body gives the garment its form. Joints create repeated folds, while fabric stretches and releases, leaving traces behind. The body itself becomes a recording tool.
The typeface follows the same logic. It begins with structural rules rather than a fixed visual outcome. The skeleton expands and contracts with the character cell, shifting spatial relationships as it moves. Form emerges through adaptation.
